Growth & development classes for girls
Girls Club is a safe space for girls to understand and appreciate their bodies, practice self-love, unite in sisterhood, and celebrate what it means to be a girl.

About the chapter
Girls Club is meant to open up doorways for conversation to happen at home. We are working together, as a team, to help your daughter feel prepared, informed and supported as she grows.
The four pillars of Girls Club
Real information about how a girl's body works — factual, clear, and age-appropriate.
Practicing kindness toward ourselves, and growing into our own uniqueness.
Growing up reframed from something to dread into something to celebrate. The tone is upbeat, never apologetic.
The magic of the small group — girls in community with other girls going through the same things, and a trusted adult right there with them.
How it works
Inside a session
A warm welcome as the girls arrive and settle in.
A few quiet moments to reflect, write, color, draw, and connect with themselves.
Time to come together, community breathing, share, listen, and build sisterhood.
Each session introduces a new topic designed to help girls better understand their bodies, their boundaries, and the changes they will experience as they grow.
An intentional activity focused on confidence, self-love, and positive affirmations.
We wrap up our time together and get ready to take what we learned into the week ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Keeping a small, intimate group size allows the girls to feel safe, ask important questions, and share freely. 12 is the maximum amount of girls that are allowed to enroll in any one class. A minimum of 8 girls is required to hold a session.
Sex education is not part of the first Girls Club program. Girls in 5th, 6th and 7th grade will have the opportunity to continue to Girls Club level II, where age-appropriate sex education will be introduced after they complete the first program. Level II is coming soon, so keep an eye out for more information.
Girls Club curriculum is not aligned with a specific set of religious teachings. Instead, the content is presented with an energy of self-love, appreciation for the human body, wonder and amazement for the body's capabilities, and celebration of our unique selves.
No. Girls Club does not teach abstinence. For 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, sex education is introduced with a basic, age appropriate definition as part of understanding human anatomy and reproduction. Girls Club focuses on providing accurate, age-appropriate information without shame and fear. More comprehensive conversation about sex, including healthy relationships, consent, and responsible decision-making, will be part of Girls Club Level II.
Appropriate/scientific terms are taught for female and male anatomy. However, the terms 'masturbation' and 'orgasm' are not used. When teaching about the clitoris, whose only function is to experience enjoyment/pleasure, girls are encouraged to understand, explore, and view their bodies as a gift.
No. These topics are not part of the Girls Club curriculum. If a girl brings up a question, it will be acknowledged respectfully and without judgment, while keeping the conversation appropriate to the scope of the program. For more specific questions, girls will be encouraged to continue the conversation with their parent or caregiver.
No. This topic rarely comes up, but if it does, it is handled the same way as explained in the previous answer.
It is important to have an understanding and appreciation for female and male anatomy. When factual information and terminology are presented/learned, it normalizes language and attitude toward our bodies and male bodies. Once this foundation has been laid and correct vocabulary has been established, it allows for accurate discussion of future related topics.
While it makes parents feel comfortable to be included in the discussion of these topics, Girls Club is all about the girls' experience. The first priority is to create a safe, inviting, and comfortable space for the girls to share, ask questions and connect. When parents are present, it changes the dynamic of the group, and it has been noticed that girls share less and are more hesitant to ask questions.
Hand-drawn diagrams and anatomical models are used to teach female and male anatomy and function. A female pelvis model helps girls understand the location and internal reproductive organs and how they fit together. Anatomical posters and diagrams are also used to provide clear, accurate depictions of external anatomy, including the vulva, breast, and male anatomy.

Meet your Girls Club leader
Educator. Mom. Girls Club Leader.
I'm a certified Girls Club Leader, a Spanish teacher, and a mom of three — including an amazing daughter — and I have postgraduate training in Child Development.
Working with children and raising my own daughter have made me especially passionate about the way we guide girls through childhood and into adolescence.
I believe the conversations we have with girls during these years matter. How we talk about their bodies, answer their questions, and respond to their curiosity can shape the way they see themselves for years to come.
Bringing Girls Club to Salisbury is very special to me. It brings together so much of what I care about as an educator and as a mom — and I'm so excited to welcome your girl into our circle.

Spots are limited to 8–12 girls so every girl gets heard. Fill out the interest form below and I'll send you an email with payment details, dates, location, and everything you need to know so we can get started!
